PAPER WEAVING ON CARDS

This is a technique I've been playing around with; paper weaving. It uses 1/4" strips of card stock woven together to make a base for the stamped image.  Then you coat the entire top with versamark ink and then Ultra Thick Embossing Powder.  While the first layer of embossing powder is still warm and soft you put on a second layer and heat it.  This technique I think gives some interesting texture to your card fronts.

Friday I am teaching this technique to a stamping club here in The Villages.  I am hoping to get back into doing more teaching.  Maybe eventually for some income rather than just for fun.

It's been ages since I called by and I do apologise. Your card technique looks wonderful. One of these days I will get some UTEE and try it :) I like the look of the stamping on top of the weaving. It would make a good class. We made some Christmas decorations today int he class I ran. It was a lot of fun. Oh and I have taken up quilting recently. You were partly the inspiration fro that, you know :) Till next time.
