NEW TECHNIQUES TO TRY????
So many new techniques and idea to try. I keep skipping from one to another. I will have to settle down and figure out which one to try by tomorrow so I can play with it this week-end. I'm not sure how to settle on which one though as so many I have found sound very interesting. I may have to just put some of them on a slip of paper through them into a paper bag and draw one out. OR I could focus on ones that can be used for festive holiday items. Those techniques that add glitter and glitz to holiday projects.....decisions decisions.....so many ideas and so little time! Yes, I'm slowly checking out everyone's blogs. New technique? Hmmm...well, if I had a brayer I'd sure like to try bouncing brayer. I saw a beautiful card made with Blue Frost spectrum pad and the City of David set.
I still love the technique where you use shaving cream and re-inkers to make cool paper. I think I might do this on my Christmas cards this year. Thanks!

I am going to try a new technique for my Christmas cards, that I found in CardMaker magazine.
Their sample is called Beaded Snowflake. Seed beads are stitched onto the printed snowflake on a sheet of designer paper.
The instructions are on page 46 in the November 07 issue of CardMaker.
WOW I'm just like you. I love to try all the techniques, but which one do you do first? Decide what you are making and then look at the techniques on which would go best with that one. There is a lot of techniques with instructions on Splitcoasters and also on all the blogs out there. My favorite one right now is dry embossing with stencils and with the cuttlebug templates. I love all sorts of tecnique's. At christmas though embossing is my favorite! It's quick for all the cards you may have to make , but so beautiful everyone thinks you spent alot of time on it. Good luck picking a tecnique!
I agree it is definately overwhelming to choose a techinque.

Hmmm, a technique...well, I have to say my fave is embossing, it's easy and quick and makes the card look extra special. And along those lines, I have to agree with your last poster, the crackled glass is fantastic, could make for a great Christmas card...I am seeing a holiday scene behind the crackled glass.

I keep meaning to try the gel technique where you cut out a window in a card, use a tiny bit of hair gel (you can also put in a few micro beads to add sparkle) in a little plastic bag and pop that in under the window, then stamp an image on another piece of paper behind that. There is an SU! set called Fishy Friends that I have seen used in this way. Here's an example of one on SCS:

In Australia, we have a hot Christmas, so you can see why I am thinking about this watery technique as all we want to do is get cool!
I really am intrigued by two techniques that I've seen recently. The first one is on Jan Tink's Blog and I believe she calls it Joseph's Coat Inside Out...that just looks sooo cool when she does it!
The second one is actually a card that is on SCS by Zindorf. I have a link to it on my blog - I don't know how it's done, but I love it!
